About Days of the New
Days of the New began in Charlestown, Indiana, in 1995 and later moved to Louisville, Kentucky. Built around singer and guitarist Travis Meeks, the project brought an acoustic guitar sound into alternative rock. Songs such as Touch, Peel and Stand and Shelf in the Room introduced that approach, combining rhythmic playing with a dark, reflective mood.
