Spotify About Dio
Dio formed in 1982 after singer Ronnie James Dio and drummer Vinny Appice left Black Sabbath. Holy Diver introduced the band's heavy metal catalogue in 1983, including the title track and 'Rainbow in the Dark'. The Last in Line followed the next year, establishing an early run of albums built around Dio's distinctive voice.
