About Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden formed in East London in 1975, led by bassist and songwriter Steve Harris. They became a major part of the new wave of British heavy metal, with early albums including Killers and The Number of the Beast. Bruce Dickinson joined for the latter, beginning a widely recognised period that also produced Powerslave and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.
