About Mad Season

Mad Season formed in Seattle in 1994, bringing together musicians from Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Screaming Trees alongside bassist John Baker Saunders. Their only studio album, Above, arrived in 1995. Its blues-influenced rock gives Layne Staley's voice and Mike McCready's guitar playing room, presenting a quieter, more open side of the city's grunge scene.
