Spotify About Opeth
Opeth formed in Stockholm in 1990, with Mikael Åkerfeldt becoming the band's main songwriter and a central figure in its development. Their progressive metal draws on death metal alongside folk, jazz and quieter acoustic music. Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries and Watershed are among the albums that show the range of their long-form approach.
