About Screaming Trees
Screaming Trees formed in Ellensburg, Washington, in 1984 and became part of the wider Pacific Northwest alternative rock story. Their sound mixed hard rock and psychedelic guitar textures with Mark Lanegan's deep voice. Although often grouped with grunge, records such as Dust also reveal a strong interest in melody and the atmosphere around a song.
