About Soundgarden
Soundgarden formed in Seattle in 1984, with Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil and Hiro Yamamoto among its founders. Their music brought heavy guitar sounds and unusual rhythmic ideas into the city's alternative rock scene. Louder Than Love, Down on the Upside and King Animal reveal different stages of a catalogue shaped by Cornell's voice and the band's distinctive arrangements.
