About Staind
Staind formed in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1995. Their music moves between heavy alternative metal and more melodic, reflective rock, with Aaron Lewis's voice and Mike Mushok's guitar playing at its centre. Dysfunction and Break the Cycle established the band's wider profile, while later albums continued to explore the balance between aggression and quieter songwriting.
