About Suede

Suede formed in London in 1989, combining glam rock and post-punk influences with Brett Anderson's distinctive vocals. Their self-titled debut won the Mercury Prize in 1993 and helped set the stage for Britpop, a label the band kept at a distance. Dog Man Star and Coming Up established two very different sides of their early catalogue.
