About Sum 41
Sum 41 formed in Ajax, Ontario, in 1996. Their music brought pop-punk melodies together with an increasing interest in heavier guitar music, moving from All Killer No Filler towards the darker sound of Does This Look Infected? and Chuck. That mixture of punk energy and metal influence became an important part of the band's identity.
