About The Hives
The Hives formed in Fagersta, Sweden, in 1993 and became internationally prominent during the garage rock revival of the early 2000s. Their music relies on sharp guitar figures, driving rhythms and the confrontational energy of singer Howlin' Pelle Almqvist. Across their catalogue, short and direct songs remain central to the band's character.
