The Underfall Yard
The Underfall Yard gives Big Big Train's progressive rock a strong sense of character. Guitars and keyboards share the arrangements with flute, cello and brass, while David Longdon's voice brings warmth to stories of work, memory and change. The music looks back towards classic British prog, but its best passages make those familiar sounds feel personal.
