A Eulogy for Those Still Here
A Eulogy for Those Still Here shows how much Counterparts can achieve without greatly changing their sound. The band's melodic hardcore remains fast, heavy and emotionally direct, with Brendan Murphy's harsh voice driving songs built around expressive guitar lines. It is a familiar approach, but the performances give it enough urgency to keep the record from feeling like a routine return.
