Effloresce
Effloresce makes technical guitar music feel light on its feet. Covet build these six instrumentals around Yvette Young's detailed playing, with bass and drums adding movement rather than simply keeping time behind her. The arrangements are carefully made, but their relaxed mood keeps them inviting. The record works best when the three players let their different lines meet around a clear melodic idea.
