The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume

Evans Blue

Evans Blue make familiar hard rock feel personal through Kevin Matisyn's voice. The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume surrounds his restless singing with smooth production, firm rhythms and heavy guitar. The sound fits comfortably beside other melodic rock of its period. What gives the album a stronger identity is the tension between that polished setting and a singer who rarely sounds settled.
