Fables From a Mayfly: What I Tell You Three Times Is True

Fair to Midland

Fair to Midland make a busy sound feel surprisingly easy to enjoy on Fables From a Mayfly. Heavy guitar, bright keyboards and large vocal melodies meet inside songs that keep changing their colour. There is plenty of progressive detail, but the band rarely lose sight of the chorus. The album's unusual character comes from how naturally those different parts fit together.
