Epitaph

God Is an Astronaut

Epitaph gives God Is an Astronaut's instrumental rock a darker, more patient shape. Guitar melodies remain important, but piano and electronics have more space to establish the mood before the heavier passages arrive. The album deals in grief and release, finding much of its strength in the distance between the two.
