A Place of Our Own
A Place of Our Own gives Have Mercy's emotional rock a more polished outline. The guitars sound firm and the songs move towards their strongest moments with greater certainty. Brian Swindle's rough voice remains central, but the cleaner setting changes its effect. The album is easy to connect with, even when some of the band's earlier atmosphere feels less present.
