The Greatest Mistake of My Life
The Greatest Mistake of My Life gives Holding Absence's dramatic rock sound the songs it needs. Lucas Woodland's voice is large and expressive, but the album does more than place an impressive singer above polished instruments. The hooks have a clearer shape, the changes in scale are more effective, and the band give their emotional approach enough weight to make it convincing.
