Wired
Wired puts Jeff Beck's guitar inside a more forceful, keyboard-rich version of jazz rock. The playing has plenty of speed, but the rhythms and contrasting arrangements give it more than display value. Beck can make a short phrase sound as individual as a longer solo. The album is less unified than Blow by Blow, though its best moments show how much personality he brings to different musical settings.
