Wildlife
Wildlife gives La Dispute's restless post-hardcore a strong narrative focus. Jordan Dreyer moves between spoken delivery and a strained shout, telling stories that connect private doubts with other people's suffering. Around him, the band sound more closely joined than interested in showing off separate parts. That combination makes the album powerful, though its detail and intensity ask for sustained attention.
