This Place You Know

One Step Closer

This Place You Know finds One Step Closer making room for vulnerability inside a forceful hardcore sound. The Pennsylvania band's debut album combines quick, heavy riffs with clearer melodies and quieter breaks, giving its intensity a wider emotional range. The influences are easy to recognise, but the songs make good use of the space between their harder and softer sides.
