Moving Pictures makes difficult playing feel immediately memorable. Rush give each of its seven songs a clear identity, with a guitar figure, bass movement or drum accent often becoming as recognisable as the vocal melody. The technical detail is part of the attraction from the first hearing. Tom Sawyer is a remarkably complete opening statement.
