Saosin
Saosin's self-titled debut makes technical playing sound immediate. The guitars move around each other, the drums stay busy, and Cove Reber's high voice gives the songs a clear melodic centre. The production is polished, but the performances have enough detail to avoid sounding merely tidy. The strongest moments combine that precision with a chorus that is easy to follow.
