Jar
Jar makes its heavy guitars feel personal. Superheaven, who originally released the album as Daylight, draw on grunge and alternative rock while keeping the directness of their punk background. The sound is thick and often gloomy, but the melodies stay close enough to the surface to give the songs a clear shape. It is a strong debut built around that balance.
