The Whirlwind

Transatlantic

The Whirlwind gives Transatlantic's large-scale progressive rock a continuous shape. Its twelve sections share musical ideas across an album-length composition, moving between energetic playing, gentler songs and an expansive finish. The connection between the parts is often effective, even when the familiar sound and generous length begin to test the writing.
