About Animals as Leaders
Animals as Leaders began as a project by guitarist Tosin Abasi in 2007 before developing into an instrumental progressive metal band. Based in Washington, D.C., the group became closely associated with the djent scene. Their self-titled debut arrived in 2009, with The Joy of Motion and Parrhesia among the later records built around guitars and drums without a lead singer.
