Amon Amarth

About Amon Amarth

Amon Amarth formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, combining melodic death metal with lyrics about Viking history and mythology. Their name comes from Tolkien's name for Mount Doom. Once Sent from the Golden Hall introduced their full-length catalogue in 1998, while Twilight of the Thunder God brought a wider breakthrough a decade later.
