Spotify About In Flames
In Flames formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1990 and helped establish the city's melodic death metal scene. Their early work emphasised harmonised guitar melodies, with The Jester Race and Colony among its important albums. Reroute to Remain marked a move towards alternative metal in 2002, broadening the approach heard on those earlier records.
