King Crimson

About King Crimson

King Crimson formed in London in 1968 and helped establish progressive rock with In the Court of the Crimson King the following year. Guitarist Robert Fripp remained the central constant through many different lineups. Their music drew on jazz, classical and experimental influences, with later albums such as Red and Discipline taking the band into different territory.
