Spirit Adrift began in Mesa, Arizona, in 2015 as a solo project by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nate Garrett. It expanded into a full band for live performances after the early recordings. Chained to Oblivion and Curse of Conception established the project's heavy metal catalogue, with later releases continuing its focus on guitar-driven metal.
